The documentary accounting the Kat’s experience being undocumented will be screened at the event below.
Date: May 10, 2014
Time: 2pm
Location: Metro Baptist Church (Basement Meeting Space)
406 W 40th Street (Basement)  btwn 9th and 10th Avenues NY, NY 10018
An afternoon workshop dealing with the issue of undocumented immigration to de-stigmatize undocumented youth, workers, and families. The event is called “Drop the TnT” in hopes that the Filipino community will start to recognize the importance of becoming inclusive and responsive to the realities that undocumented members face. It would be similar to a “coming out of the shadows” event where undocumented members of the audience can share their stories to shed light on their experiences to combat the culture of silence.
